Solo Clean Process

  1. Be prepared. As soon as you turn off the engine to your car, pull up Booking Koala and read the notes. Check the type of cleaning, entry, pets, cleaning instructions, and those details important to the client. Also, these are things to watch out for!
    • Refer to these checklists:

      2. Extras
  2. Unload your supplies and equipment from the car,
    1. Knock or ring door bell and stand 6 feet back
    2. and place everything in the kitchen or inside the house near the front door.
  3. Check the kitchen counter for customer notes. If a note is left read the note and make a plan for any changes to the cleaning that day. Leave your thank you card.
  4. If the client is home spend a minute to say “hello” and making polite conversation. Do not, however, spend more than a few minutes. You can use polite phrases like “Well, I better get to it. It was good talking with you” to break from the conversation.
  5. Collect your supplies and begin your first task:
    • If the client is home and they would like you to fully clean the room they will stay in while you are cleaning, do this first. Also, clean the home in the most efficient order if the clients are home. It might make sense to do the kitchen first if you know they will be eating lunch soon and you want to stay out of the way.
  6. Plan the order in which you will clean the home
    • Here are some options to consider when working alone. Be sure to use the appropriate cleaning checklist as you work through:
