Educate the Applicant
I appreciate you taking the time to give me a breakdown, (Prospect’s name) . Now, let me tell you a little about our company.
The Mission Maids is backed up by successful cleaning business professionals with over 10 years of experience in this industry. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau and the United Professional Cleaning Alliance. And we are looking for reliable and hardworking cleaners to join the team. We offer general cleaning, move-in/move-out, and deep cleaning types for the residential industry. Our sales help rescue animals by building fences for the owners of chained dogs so that the dogs can live happier and freer lives.
Diving into more details about this position specifically, you would be hired as a contractor. Are you familiar with what that is?
If No
As an Independent Contractor, you have full control over your schedule and you make more per hour than as an employee. With us, you would provide your own supplies but we, in turn, pay you more. You are not expected to be at a company location for the full 40 hours per week like you would as an employee. There is no central location where you would be reporting to work. You would be leaving directly from your home to the client’s home and then returning directly back to your home.
We are a tech-forward cleaning business that leverages automation. You will have the ability as a cleaner for The Mission Maids to create and make your own schedule for when you want to work and when you don’t want to work.
If Yes
Awesome. We are a tech-forward cleaning business that leverages automation. You will have the ability as a cleaner for The Mission Maids to create and make your own schedule for when you want to work and when you don’t want to work.
A typical day in the life that you would be expecting would be you would be able to manage and adjust your own calendar when you want to work and when you don’t want to work. Then you would be scheduled in for the days that you’re available, you’d be able to go to those appointments, complete those appointments and then you’d get paid for the appointments you complete.
Working for The Mission Maids, we provide your general liability insurance to cover you in the case of liability, focus on bookings, payroll, building the marketing and advertising campaign including both online internet advertising as well as offline print advertising methods. We also handle all the customer service and support including any customer issues that arise. We also take care of your customers by doing all the follow-up and trying to retain them for you so that you earn more tips which you will always keep 100% of. You just need to focus on being reliable and providing high-quality, consistent cleaning services.
There will be ample opportunity for monthly bonuses, year-end bonuses which increase with every year you are with us, raises, paid-vacations, and with us, we even help you buy your 1st or next home through our First Time Home Buyer’s Program. This is essentially a bonus that helps cover the closing costs and downpayment on a home and the requirements are explained in the Provider Development Program. There are performance requirements and a time requirement of serving two years with us before you become eligible for this. This is very unique. This is all covered in the Provider Development Program which you will have access to once you are onboarded into The Mission Maids. We really believe in having our good cleaners experience the benefits of home ownership if they do not have a home of their own at this time.
Also, I want to be very transparent with you. We use the first 2-3 weeks as a ramp-up to see how you do and whether we are a good fit for one another. So, you won’t have full responsibility right away. We want to see how you do on the first jobs and then we will progressively give you more and more hours if you show up and are a fit.
Now a word about RELIABILITY which is crucial in this job. Just to make sure you are aware, we are looking for very high-quality and reliable cleaners. There is a 0 tolerance policy for NO-SHOWS or any sort of last minute cancellation with this. If you are contracted to complete the job, we need to make sure you are going to be arriving and you are going to be reliable in showing up and completing the cleaning.
A no-show appointment is grounds for an automatic termination. A couple of them is a definite automatic termination.
We have found that our cleaners prefer to use their own cleaning supplies. We do have a list of recommended supplies. What we would do is see what you have and then see what we need to do to get you set-up. Having our cleaners provide their own supplies allows us to pay them more than most companies.
